Celtic suspended, Dida suspended for overacting

Celtic have been fined £25,000 and Dida the 'over actor' suspended for 2 games. I think Milan and their Oscar nominee got off lightly.

Celtic won't mind the fine, as it was their inability to control the security of the stadium resulted in one fan running around amok during last weeks Champions league game. It was this very fan than ran amok, and appear to give Dida a 'sniper' slap.

A sniper slap is one of those rare forms of fan based slap attacks that only begin to affect the victim after about 5-6 seconds.

Don't know what i'm talking about? Missed the whole incident? Well then, thank your lucky stars for YouTube baby!

Dida, the Brazillian overactor

Sometimes i wonder, are footballers a moronic bunch? Don't they know that their every move during a game is scrutinized by media from almost every angle. Nowdays, there isn't a single blade of grass that isn't covered by camera. If i was Dida, i know i'd feel like a moron. I'd also feel very lucky that UEFA didn't make a bigger effort to clamp down on other moronic behaviour by fellow players (e.g. diving, faking, grabbing other players balls during corner kicks) by making an example out of me.

I wish i was a friend of Dida though. I know in this kind of situation, he will need friends like me. Friends that will continue to laugh, mock and taunt him for his stupidity.

Ah, 'footebol', tis why we love thee.

He dribbles like Ronaldinho, crosses like Beckham and passes like X.Alonso

Seeing is believing.

Who said girls can't play football? (mad skillz!)

These girls have amazing skills, skills i'd love to have! I've seen a few women football matches, albeit not the whole 90 min, but just 15-20 minutes, but i've been very impressed. One aspect which i've really been impressed with is their shooting. I've had this mentallity before that women players can't shoot for nuts, but after watching the Germans, i must confess, i wouldn't wanna be hit by their shots. I'd like to see more women footy on TV. Astro, you listening?

Want to be great? Then learn from the Great Zizou

They don't get any greater than Zinedine Yazid Zidane a.k.a Zizou. I find it ironic that he has such an exotic name, to match his sumblime exotic skills. I guess he was born to play the beautiful game.

The big man himself

Mum's and Dad's, if you have kids that have ambitions of becoming great football players, then show them everything you can find about the great players, like the clip below. No doubt, just watching alone won't make them overnight sensations, but it will inspire them. I can watch this over and over again. I wished my parents showed me stuff like this when i was young.

There isn't anything left to say about ZZ, that hasn't already been said about million times over, but i'll say it anyway. ZZ was a joy to watch, able to ghost past opponents with ease and spray delightful passes around the pitch. Couple that with his ability to score goals and you can begin to understand what made him such a great player.

P.S Just don't show them the headbutt video :)

Zlatan, a clone of Zidane gone wrong?

If it wasn't for his tempermental and volatile nature, Zlatan Ibrahimović would probably be up there are the greatest strikers of this generation. He is a bit Zidane-ish in his stature, as in physically he is a huge monster, but with an amazing array of bamboozling skills.

He's actually Swedish, and if you're wondering, "Whats up with that funky un-Swedish name?", the answer is he is of Bosnian and Croation descent.

Its interesting to note that during an international match against Holland on August 18, 2004, Ibrahimovic injured fellow Ajax teammate Rafael van der Vaart, which led the Ajax side to disfunction after van der Vaart accused the Swede of injuring him on purpose. This led to Ibrahimovic's sudden sale to Juventus on August 31, 2004, the final day of the summer transfer window. A classic example of his attitude and temperament.

Nevertheless, his skills and talent are undoubtable. Take a peek at his dazzling skills in this clip below

I'm gonna be watching this clip a few times, memorizing every twist and turn, and hopefully i'll be able to reproduce it on the futsal pitch the next time i play. I'll end up either dazzling all my friends or falling flat on my a**.

P.S thanks for the clip Sangy!

The Rivaldo one was hillarious!

Stressed out at work? Then check out this montage of the funniest soccer clips i've seen in a while. The Rivaldo one was hillarious, but some of the goalie bloopers just are just too wacked out to believe! Oh, and special mention to the outrageously queer ref. Good stuff!
